Just in case you missed it ….South Bend Indiana now has a law on the books that Requires Proper Recycling of Electronics Business or Residential devices are NOT to be disposed of with common waste.

Containers for Paper, Cardboard, Plastic and Cans have scheduled pick-up days. Electronics however need an easier method for recycling. I won’t go through the list it is extensive and many of the discarded Cell phones & batteries etc. go in the trash can. 

This Community has a Free Recycling option offered by a Not For Profit Organization, Bridges To Digital Excellence will take your old broken unused electronics and recycle them free of charge. Planning a spring clean-up BDE is located in the Sample St Business Complex

Become a responsible recycler join other businesses providing Old out of service computer and office equipment. Refurbished computers laptops are put back into the community at reduced or no cost to families with children that cannot otherwise afford them.  Companies can now help, computer and laptop data and Hard Drive destruction are verified by certified standards and documentation is provided.  A 501c3 charity dedicated to the proper disposal of consumer or business electronics. This effort creates Jobs. What a great Idea, Clean up our environment, Create Jobs provide technology to children that may not have at home.

 

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

Describes discarded electrical or electronic devices and other Common hardware a ( waste stream). We replace old electronic products with newer models, and stockpiles of these resources are unused.

The flood of Business equipment & electronic products is a growing concern ...  Reduce-Reuse- Recycle this waste..
